redesigned with an emphasis on brand consistency

k.b polychem is a world-renowned organisation that manufactures and supplies the products in the field of surface coatings to a wider market. They have a dedicated research team that works under the supervision of skilful scientists to meet the demands of our modern society from time to time. When they came to us, they wanted a package design that would not change the personality of the already recognised brand. They desired a design that would reflect the disruptive Speciality Coating for Glass, Metal, Plastics, ABS & Wood, and stand unique in the on-shelf environment. The challenge was to improve the brand visibility among the competitors and have a premium instore presence that would even suit to the international clients.
according to the iterations of the client, our designers achieved the perfect packaging designing by introducing elements that were not present in the old package design. We were able to give a premium effect to the product by maintaining the brand consistency. We intend to give a visually appealing product even for industrial purpose to make it stand out in a store’s shelf. Contradicting the old, cluttered design we managed to sketch a symbolic representation which reflected the product’s purpose. Giving an emphasis on the core strength of the brand, the redesigned product label is now set out to roll out globally.

small change, bigger shifts

since the brand’s surface coating product had outgrown the existing design and it seemed out of the current trends, the design team chose to redesign the package by keeping in line with the modern trending designs. In that way we could improve the visibility as well as convey the new improved premium quantity of the formulation. In order to maintain the brand consistency, the same base of the older packaging was used. It was a small effort devised to convey the quality of the improved formulation.

a compelling look

the team of designers used a seamless blend of solid colours that depict the concept of smooth coating on the glass, wood, and plastic surfaces. The design also compliments the brand name and gives a compelling highlighted look to the fonts. The key objective is to attract the consumers and it was achieved by redesigning. The graphical design elements typically convey the smooth application of the coatings in the varied surfaces. Inspirations were taken from premium brands and thus we set high standards to the product by emphasising the best formulation.

epitomise consumer attraction

the previous package designing had a very little way of telling what the product was and failed to convey the USP strongly. The redesigning process embossed the brand identity and the instructions in a much clearer manner. The label clearly communicated the message to the consumers. It was a wise decision made by the organisation to redesign the existing patterns. It was an exercise to position the Brand in a higher segment so that they can compete with other premium & competitive brands in the market.

our designer’s tri colour design look from the colour wheel clearly communicates that the formulation is industrial. It epitomizes the purpose of formulation with the help of the shades that indicate glass, wood, and plastic. The redesigning screams that the product is futuristic and premium with a detailed description of the Brand as well as the product.
